Gwen Stefani is revisiting her past in the music video for her new single, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself.” From her No Doubt days to the “Hollaback” era, Gwen recreated the most iconic looks from her career in the nostalgic visuals. Serving as a reunion of sorts for the many faces of Gwen, the video captures each version of the singer performing on a single soundstage, wearing ensembles that date back as far as 1995 — including the red, white, and blue crop top (and face crystals) she first debuted in the “Just a Girl” music video, her “Rich Girl” floral headpiece, the polka-dot dress from the “Don’t Speak” video, and of course, the fuzzy blue bra she wore to the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards.
While the video’s fashion is a trip down memory lane for fans, Gwen did include several 2020 references. In the opening scene, Stefani wears a face-mask while getting her hair and make-up done, and shortly after, hops into a Zoom screen for a virtual sing-a-long. She also nodded to her upcoming nuptials with Blake Shelton, pointing to her engagement ring from the country singer at the two-minute mark.
