THE 14TH HEADIES

The much anticipated 14th headies award has come and gone. It didn’t just go but left us with amazing memories.
The event, which was held at the convention center of Eko hotel in Victoria island Lagos, witnessed the presence of top Nigerian musicians, Reality TV stars, Actors, Comedians, etc….
The headies award (originally called the hip hop world awards)is a music award show established in 2006, set out to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry.
The 2021 headies which happens to be the 14th edition featured a lot of categories, various artists, and winners.
The most nominated for the night was Fireboy Dml who received 9 nominations and won in 4 categories. Fast-rising superstar Omah Lay backed the award for the “Next rated Artist” category, Bella Shmurda, Tems and Oxlade were not left out as they emerged as runners-up.
The event saw the awarding of Star boy wizkid as the artist of the year 2020 and also his song”Joro” winning the viewers choice award. Legendary king sunny Ade was highly honoured as he was presented with the Headies Hall of Fame award.
The prestigious award show which was hosted by comedian BOVI and actress NANCY ISIME witnessed the attendance of top celebrities including 2baba, AY, Annie Idibia, Falz the bahd guy, Laycon, Joeboy, Dj Neptune and many others.
Without doubt, we must agree that the 14th Headies has proven to be one of the most entertaining.
