With the world having to deal with the current realities brought by Covid-19, the VMAs 2020 gave a full show on how award ceremonies can be held with minimal physical appearances. The award show took an outdoor format in New York City and was hosted by American Actor, Keke Palmer. The show took its time to pay homage “to the strength, spirit and incredible resilience of NYC and its beloved residents”, the ceremony was also dedicated to the late Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman.
To maintain social distancing, the performances were pre-recorded and the red carpet held before the airing of the awards ceremony. Here’s some of the fashion from the VMAs 2020 red carpet.
